A - is for APPLE!

On Monday Brooksby Farm was host to Nathan Waller and Sarah Teal, accompanied by Julie, Melissa and Nana Laureen. Of course Joshua and Peter tagged along as well, but they were far less interested in the whole apple picking thing.

The weather has been quickly turning Autumnal and they very well may have chosen one of the last "true" days of summer to set out on their little adventure. The sun was shining, the weather was warming, and the apples were ripe for the picking.

Nana told Nathan that the apples on the ground were for the birds to eat... and being the thoughtful person he is, he decided that he should throw some apples around so that the birds got their fare share of the goods. One for the birdies... one for me... you get the idea.

Sarah quickly got the hang of apple picking but wanted to leave her mark on the apples she picked, which meant taking a tasty sample of appley goodness while collecting some of the apples in her bag. Quality control is good... only the best passed the test and went home.

The two of them made quick work filling their bags and had a fun time playing around the trees.

The apples look good. Some nice selections indeed.
They'd make a nice pie... I like pie.
