We ventured out for our annual fresh tree hunt today. This year we decided to go to a hidden jewel Julie discovered (aptly called Beverly Tree Farm) a few miles away, rather than going half an hour down the highway to West Newbury as we have been doing for years now. Grandma and grandpa also came along for the trip which was a nice addition. Nana Laureen stayed home with Noah and Justin. We'll get Noah out there next year to wreak havoc on the tree population. Give that boy a SAW!!
The weather was fantastic... right around 50 with the sun beaming bright.
After we found our trees, the boys stuffed themselves with sugar cookies and hot chocolate in the festively decorated little "barn" that serves as headquarters for the tree farm operation.
What a great way to enjoy the beauty of creation! The rules of Christmas according to Julie are that the tree (when dry) must be up within an hour of being home and so begins this trees saga in our living room. How many months will it be with us? The record currently happens to be 3 months or so...
