Do you remember the Rock'em Sock'em robots from back in the day? Nathan has actually had his eye on them for a while at Toys 'R' Us... first he tried to convince Joshua to get the set when we were there picking out his birthday gift and then he passed them up on a trip with Mommy for something different. Well, our neighbors were getting rid of a bunch of their kid's items and I spotted an old Rock'em Sock'em that appeared to be in decent condition and snagged it for the boys.
The jubilation at the sight of the little plastic robots that they weren't even quite sure how to use yet was entertaining to say the least. They pounded the buttons until their hands were sore and still went at it even after they were at the point of complaining after every other hit about their hands hurting. Practically frantic for the head popping shot to the little robotic jaws.
Nathan told me this morning that he thought the might have broken a bone in his hand because it was still sore!!
Well if I were the referee... I think the robots win by unanimous decision in the 12th round.
