Someone is going to be HAPPY

Today we went to the bike shop to get Nathan a kickstand for his bike, now that the training wheels are off. He decided on his own that he wanted to get flowers for his Mother.
He had helped me garden over the weekend and I think he saw that I had given Julie some flowers from the rhododendron bush which had been on display on the kitchen table since then.

After we got the kickstand put on we headed to the store and Nathan took some serious time to make his flower choice before we went to pay.

"Someone is going to be happy!" is what a man in line behind us said as he watched Nathan gently place the roses he had just picked out for "Mumma" in front of the cashier and hand her the money to pay for them.
"Did you pick those out yourself?" he asked Nathan.
"Uh huh!" was his reply.
"He wanted to buy flowers for his Mother" I said, "You can't say no to that request."
"That's right... teach them young how to treat a woman" the man said.

You know... that man was right, in more ways than one. Indeed... someone IS happy.

~ I think GOD is happy that Nathan is following my example and showing love for his Mother.
~ I'M happy that perhaps my actions toward Julie are the "right" ones and they are showing Nathan (and hopefully all the boys) how to treat a woman and a wife in the future.
~ And of course MUMMA was quite happy to receive the flowers from her oldest son who was beaming all the way from the store.

When we were walking out of the store back to the car Nathan remarked, "It's a good thing it's a rainy day and not a hot one, so the flowers can be happy in the rain..."

Amen buddy.

Flowers on a rainy day... PRICELESS!
