Pool Partay

Tuesday morning... rain.
Tuesday noontime... overcast... chance of rain.
The weather was less than cooperative for most of the day, but there was a mission to be completed and Nathan was not to be thwarted. We drove to Nana's pool and prepared to make waves anyway.

We zipped him into his neon flotation thingy and he was good to go... as long as Daddy was with him of course, otherwise the top step or two was the limit. He spent a good 20 minutes removing water from the pool with his watering can and depositing it on the patio. When he had done his part to remove a couple gallons of water, he figured out that if he threw his boat into the water jets for the filter, it would shoot far enough away that he would have to ask me to get it back for him.

Oh happy day! Boat retriever for the boy! {note my sarcasm}
Well, at least he got a kick out of it.

Eventually I was a able to get him into the water and we cruised around until he was shivering and had the tell-tale purple lips that he inherited from his mommy.

Nana Laureen was happy to assume Joshua duty and Julie enjoyed not having to worry about either of the boys for a while. Niiiice!

Both Papa Bill and Ken showed up... "Auntie" Nicole came by with Taylor-Michelle... and it was a PARTAY!!
Oh, I failed to mention the sun broke through the clouds after 3:30 or so, which is a good thing because Nathan looked like he was operating a jackhammer and his teeth sounded like he was sending out morse code. A little sun, some fishies (a.k.a. Elmo's Dorothy) and he was good to go.

The weather actually turned out to be quite nice and we topped it all off with a little grillin' and chillin' at Nana's condo.
